We have here sat up an FAQ for you that wonder little about the most common questions we get when it come to this ghost exploring project we have here.

Some of this questions have we got online and some we have been asked directly buy people we have meet on our trips. So we have just collected the most common questions we get and hope it can help you to understand us little better.

Q- How do you come up whit the idea to begin with Ghost/Urbex exploring?

A- Well we have seen Ghost/Urbex exploring videos online and it’s looks interesting and it works good for us since we like to travel and see new places so we was thinking why not it can be interesting to see little more/different places then just the tourist sports and maybe make some interesting videos at the same time.

 

Q- Where do you come from? What country?

A- (Odd Arne)I come from Norway in Europe was born there and have lived there most of my life.
(Jelith) My partner come from Philippines and was born there and lived there her whole life.

So that's why our English is not perfect in any way and yes we know we don’t have the correct grammar and so on but to be honest I don’t give a Hairy rat's ass about that..

 

Q- Are you professional paranormal investigators?

A- No not at all. We are quite new to this Ghost/Urbex exploring so we have much to learn yet so we are very much amateurs when it come to this ghost hunting and urban exploring activity so it will be interesting to see how we will do in time.

 

Q- Are any of you a spiritual medium or something like that, or do you have some type of power to see or feel ghosts?

A- No we are not anything like spiritual medium, physical mediums, intellectual mediums, sensitive medium, healing medium, channeling medium, ghost whispers, shaman or anything else for that matter.
We are just ordinary people whit no special powers what so ever that like to see if we find something that can be paranormal and see if it’s exists in real.

 

Q- Do you believe in ghost or paranormal activity?

A- Personally I have never believed in ghosts and will use this opportunity we have whit this ghost exporing to see if there is something to this or not. I have never seen, hear or felt or been injured by any ghost in my life.
I believe that when you are dead so is there nothing more it’s the end of the road, you will not be a spirit, ghost or fly around in limbo.

So I will see if all this is wrong and there are something in this or not. Yes I know there are many that say that they see and hear ghosts but I cant believe that so long they can’t prove it in any way, for people say many strange things and whit out evidence so is this a no brainier.

 

Q- Are you afraid sometimes when you do Paranormal/Urbex explorations

A- No not really sometimes my heart rate go up little but I am never scared of any ghost.
But there can be many sounds and things in old buildings and outside specially in the night time when it’s dark and you can’t see more then your flash light can light up so you don’t know what it is. Usually it’s an animal or something like that.

 

And ghost can’t hurt you in any way since they are not in solid form so it’s not something I am worried about when we are on the ghost hunt. I am more afraid of meeting squatters and hobo’s that live there.

Yes I have heard of people that have been hurt by ghosts?  But I have never been hurt by any ghosts in any way, so to that happens I don’t see it as a major problem.

 

Q- Is there many haunted places there you travel to?

A- We try to check out the places we go to if there is some paranormal activity in the aria so we can investigate the time we are there. We use much time to find out if a place is haunted or not.

 

Q- What do you think of all the YouTubers that encounter ghost activity everywhere they go?

A- Well I don’t know. I was not there when it happen.

But I think they overplay it sometimes and that it’s more show then real ghost exploring but it’s fun to watch them.

When it comes to how real this is that they see or hear ghosts everywhere is 99% fake and as I say it’s more for entertainment then real ghost hunting.

 

For it’s not like you go in to a building, cemetery or any other place and there are ghost activity everywhere it can go long long time between you hear anything and in most of the cases the sound have a natural explosion.

I think it’s more to keep the movies interesting and to have little action in them. 

 

Q- What is your favourite paranormal channel on YouTube?

A- I like more the channels that look at paranormal things from a more scientific point of view and do there research before they begin to investigate what happens at the place since you then get some more background history of what have happened there and so on.  But it’s also fun to look at this urban explorers and other that just go to a place and hope for the best.

 

Q- What do you think of all the movies around the net that show either ghosts or things moving around on CCTV cameras and so on?

A- Me personally think most of this videos are fake and many of them have so bad quality that you barely see what's on the video, so it can be many things that happens there. Is it paranormal? I don’t think so. When it come to objects moving around so are there many ways to get them to do that, like if it’s big things whit wheels they can use small electric motors in the wheels and a remote control to move it around and so on.

And usually if they say it’s real in the title it’s usually fake but fun to watch
And I guess they have much fun making this videos but it don’t help the paranormal community to be taken more seriously whit all this fake stuff that people make and post online.

So as I see it so need the seriously level to be higher in the coming years for many look at this as completely ridiculous and in many ways it is with all this people that make all the fake videos and post online.

So my hope is that the paranormal/urbex community that are serious about this, dissociates this people/groups that make a complete mockery/ridicule out of the paranormal/urbex community in any chance they get.

 

Q- Do you see or hear ghost everywhere you visit?

A- No there can go long time between the times we see or hear anything, and since we don’t fake our videos so are they not always full of paranormal activities, and we usually film for many hours just to get the content for the video we upload on the net.

And some places is just not haunted at all and then the video going over to be more an Urbex video, but we will not begin to make up things just so the video going to be interesting. For it’s nothing that piss me off more then video creators that make fake ghost activity just to make the video interesting.

 

Q- Do you have a big team whit you when you make your videos?

A- No we are just 2 or 4 people most of the time. If we collaborate whit someone we can be more people there, but we have no money to have a big TV team around us. 

And to more people there are to more noise there are and whit that less chance to see or hear anything of interest. 

 

So even if we had the budget to have a big team so had we not had it since it’s just to much noise and to much work. It’s much better when we are just 2 and can just go around and look at the building or place and see if we notice something.

 

Q- Do you stage any of your encounters or have you any plans to stage any ghost activity? 

A- No we don’t stage anything (as I know some people do) since it will be fake and we are not in to this fake ghost activity movies crap just to get followers, here are plenty of other channels on YouTube that do that. Plus it’s not fair for you as a follower that we fake stuff on our videos. So if we see something or you see something on the videos so is that not fake from our part and as you will see so is there nothing that happens most of the time. 

There can be someone that play a prank on us that can happen but not that is planed from our part and we will then point that out that it was a prank so you know that is not real. 

 

Q- Why do you want to make an paranormal /Urbex community?

A- We have made a community named Paranormal Alliance for paranormal and Urbex groups first of all I South East Asia and then we will see if we can start up an international community of paranormal and Urbex groups and persons. It’s also the idea to try to gather so many serious urbex/paranormal groups and persons in one place as we can and get some distance from the creators that make most fake videos and other content that are staged or totally fake. 

 

Plus this is a way to reduce the numbers of fakers that just want information about places, We will just give out sensitive information like new places we going to make videos and things like that to trusted members.

I think both the paranormal and Urbex community need something like this if they will be taken serious in time, but it will be a long way to go.

 

The plan whit this Paranormal Alliance is to share ideas, places and make videos together, make it more easy to collaborate both domestic and international plus we will have meetings from time to time. It can also be good to have someone that can show you around when you are on a new place.

This community will have many different groups and single persons in it that are in the paranormal and urbex scene. 

 

Paranormal Alliance will not be a place people/groups can come and get the info they need and leave, so there will be a little while before new members will get in to the real internal information in the group. For everyone can say they do some type of paranormal and urbex activity to get this information and go and for example trash the place or something like that. So new Paranormal Alliance members have to show that we can trust them before they get any information about haunted or urbex places. 

It will also help them to get in to the internal group faster if there are other member or groups that know them and can put in a good word for them.  

 

Q- What is the member fee to be a member of this community?

A- Nothing it’s free to be a member and if there will be a yearly fee anytime so is that something the community have to agree about and everyone have to get the chance to say what they think about that. So to that day come will it be free (0-zero yearly fee) to be member there.

 

Q- Do you take money to collaborate whit you?

A- No we will never ask for any money form you to collaborate whit us, usually we do it like this we use our own money and the collaborate team use there money, and we pay our own bills that way we can use the money we have budget for and it take away the arguing about who have pay what and so on. So we will not under any circumstance ask you to pay us or pay for us in any shape or form.

 

Plus we will always have a mutual agreement contract that both of us have sign. There it will be noted what is our responsibility and what is the responsibility to the group/person that we will collaborate whit so we have all in writing and it’s easier to go back and see what we agreed on in case there is some type of misunderstanding.

 

And in this contract will it be noted that we will use our own money and no one of us can take any payment from the other part in any way. Not before or after the collaboration is finish. 

Some will maybe say that is to much work but it is the only way to do the collaboration the right way, the money we earn on the video and merchandise that we make will be the pay we get from this collaboration. 

 

Q- Don’t you trust the groups you collaborating whit since you need a contract?

A- It have nothing to do whit trust but to do it the right way, and in case there is some problems later so can we go back to the contract and see what we agree to do and not do. It’s always better to have a deal in writing that both parts have been a part of and that both have come whit ideas and input on, oral agreements is not worth anything and I will not trust an oral agreement very much since there is no document of it on what we agree on.

If it’s a one time collaboration that just last for max 12 hours will we not write any contract since it’s not that important since it just last for a short time and most of that time we will use filming.

 

Q- Are you contacting your followers to ask them for money. We hear that happens sometimes?

A- So long we have not been contacted first by E mail or social media so we need to answer or message back or something so will we never contact any of our followers not to ask them for money or anything else. We have our chat on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter to keep in contact with our followers.  

 

We have our PayPal, Patreon, and donations on our live stream that you can use if you like to donate some money to us. If you get contacted by someone in any social media or by mail that use our name so report them and block immediately since it’s a scam. 

NEVER SEND THEM ANY MONEY, I REPEAT NEVER SEND THEM ANY MONEY. IT’S A SCAM.  

Be aware that there are scammers out there that try every way to get your money even in the Paranormal/Urbex groups.

 

Q- What is your opinion on scammers that do this type of scams?

A- I think this people are the lowest type of life. I think I will say they are as low as child molesters and I hope people are awake and see the scam before they loose any money to this pile of shit. Just remember to block and report if you get any offers that is to good to be true so is it usually a scam. 

If you are not sure so is it better you contact us either by mail or Facebook about it. We will not contact any of our followers at all, we will answer mail and messages from them but never contact them one by one, that we have no time to do anyway.

 

Q- What do you use the donated money to?

A- We use the money to finance our travels and hotel/resort stays, and some go to better equipment like better cameras and accessories to them so we can give you better quality videos and better sound on the videos.

We will publish a monthly expense rapport on our page and in our Facebook group when we begin to have something to rapport so you can see what the money you donate go to. 

 

Q- Do you think it’s fair to ask people to donate money to you for your Ghost/Urbex exploring? 

A- Our donation’s are voluntarily we don’t force anyone to give us any donation, but you can say the same about all the NGO’s that people donate money to since there is many that ask for donation’s everyday. 

And if you don’t want to donate anything to us so is that fine it is voluntarily to donate. And yes we know here are many that don’t have the money to donate anything and I will be very clear here, you are not obligated to donate anything at all.

 

And as you know so is it very expensive to travel around to make this videos and to just rely on the earnings from YouTube is hopeless since that is not much we get before we have many 1000 viewers. 

We are looking in to an alternative to have some of our videos on pay per view on Patreon if that is better, this is something we will be checking out. (See the Patreon question for more information)

 

Q- What do you think about the questions about your money use?

A- I think it’s a good question. Since no one want to send money to people that just use them on BS. And you the donator and other followers have every right to know where your hard earn money go to in this channel.

 

Q- What type of movies do you have on Patreon that we need to pay to see?

A- It’s much Bonus footage, behind the scenes, early access videos and some special season videos for Halloween, Valentine, Easter, Christmas, and so on. There is not so much on the Pateron pages now we will begin to fill it up whit different content and videos in not to long. We try to be finish whit one thing at the time.

 

We are also looking in to set up a channel that is more pay per view since as you know so can it be very expensive to travel around and check out new places and make videos for you so it can be that we will set some videos to pay per view beside the one we have there today. The best thing had been to have every video on free view but that is not possible today since we don’t make the money we need from YouTube.

 

We will have a low price on them so I don’t think it will be any big issue whit that beside that it’s not going to be listed on YouTube, beside a preview of the video.

Q- Have you ever stayed in a haunted hotel or resort?

A- Not as I know I have not have any paranormal experience in any of the hotels I have been in, some of them have been haunted after the rumours but I have not seen so much to it. 

But I looking for one that can be haunted specially here in South East Asia as we will use most of our time going on explorations.

 

Q- Do you sometimes break in to a place to explore it?

A- No we will always try to get permission from the owner of the place before we go in there, this is to go clear any legal reactions after we have been there. We usually get the permission in writing so we have it in case there is some police or security that want to see it. If it’s abandon and there is no known owners so can it happen that we enter if there is some way that is open.

It’s not quite legal since it’s trespassing but sometimes we have to do it, but usually we will try to get a permission to enter the place from the owner or someone that looking after the place. 

 

Q- What do you do if you find something illegal or see something criminal?

A- Well we will report all types of criminal activity to the local police, so is it up to them to do the rest. But it’s depends on what it is also, if it’s tagging or something like that we will not do anything whit it since we don’t know how long it have been there and if it’s already reported.

 

Are we talking about stabbings, muggings, rape, murder, or finding dead bodies and so on so will we report it to the police immediately and get out of there if the criminal(s) are still there and wait to the police arrive. If the criminal(s) have left so will we try to help the victim if they are alive so much as we can, but we will clear this whit the police first this is so they are informed that we have been walking around the crime scene and maybe disturbing evidence there the crime was done. So if we get an order from the police to stay away so will we do that and wait to they are on the scene.

 

We can always discuss that we need to try to save the person(s) but here we need to see how the situation is and not set our self in any danger, we are of no use if we get seriously injuries or get killed. So if we are not running in on a crime scene so is that for we need to think about our own safety to.

 

But we have not come in that situation yet and I hope that I never will either, since it’s nothing that you can prepare you self to handle in a sec. 

Yes I know there are people out there that say that is nothing at all and they see things like that almost every day. Personally I think that is a huge container/dumpster full of fresh BS. 

My experience is that to more people are bragging the less have they done or seen and are mostly a bunch of wimps.

 

Q- What type of gadgets do you use on your exploring trips?

A- We don’t use so much gadgets on our trips really I have some on my phone that I use sometimes like EMF meter, Ghost radar, Ghost tube that we use very little but it’s good to have sometimes. 

Beside that we just use our cameras and common sense when we walk around.

We have some necessary equipment whit us but that is most lights and other things that we need when we explore a place.

 

Q- Are you in to Ouija boards, Voodoo, tarot cards and stuff like that?

A- No we never use ouija boards, Voodoo, tarot cards and we will not use them either, we see that many use them and that have to be up to them but we are not one of them that use this ouija board. If you like some more info about the board you will find it here or use google to find info about it. 

 

Q- Do you plan to just travel around in Asia to look for paranormal sights?

A- No we will in time be looking in to travel to other places in the world to look for paranormal activity, but for this time we going to keep us in Asia to check what paranormal arias they have there. In the countries that allows this type of investigations since here are some of this countries that are very scared of ghosts and can be little sceptical to the paranormal.

You find a list of the places we and countries we have plans to visit in the near future if you like to fallow where we are going. It can happen we do minor changes on this list if we find a better travel route or something like that. 

 

Q- What Continents/countries have you plans to visit?

A- After South East Asia we will look in to a tour around the following destinations. 

    • Europe, 

    • South America, 

    • North America 

    • Oceana 

 

And maybe we will have time to visit USA in between this since I see there are many haunted places there. I guess we will start in Europe in the summer and follow the route down so we have summer most of the trip.

We will come back whit the specific travel route when we know more about it and where we are going first, but as it looks like now so will we begin some place in Europe and go from there to South America, North America and so on. That is the plan today but we have to see when we begin to plan this trip where we end up.

 

We hope this can be whit some local explorers since they know the aria better then we do, and that can save us for some time to find places to explore. But we will announce the time we will begin our world tour and hope that we can come in contact whit many local explorers on the trip.

As you see so have we skipped over the middle East some parts of Asia and Africa and this is for it’s way to dangerous to travel around there for the moment whit rise in terror, insurgent activity, random killings and civil wars so this regions for the moment a no go zone for our part.

 

Q- How many countries will you visit on this trip?

A- We will see when we begin to plan this trip, but we will choose the countries that have most paranormal activity and take it from there. For we can’t visit all countries in the different continents for that will take many years.

It can be that we split this trip up in 2 parts so we can use some more time on each place and go deeper in to the paranormal activity that are reported there.

 

Q- Have you ever been arrested by the police in your Ghost/Urbex hunting trips?

A- No we have not been arrested yet but we have had some discussions whit the police and security at some of the places, but we usually get permission to enter the place before we go in so that is usually no problem. But we have had to show our ID to police on different occasions.
